“Amazon are assholes. They do not care about anyone except themselves and customers. And they routinely screw sellers – think million-dollar businesses shut down overnight, for no reason, with no warning.”
While I agree that it’s getting more competitive for retailers, and the company screwed over affiliates with their rate cuts, Amazon has brought a lot of good into the world. How many thousands have gotten rich selling on Amazon? It’s cloud infrastructure is powering most companies online and it’s cheap. Not to mention the inexpensive goods shipped to our doors in a day or two.
Amazon is doing what it promises. It’s making everything cheaper and more convenient. Unfortunately, there will be collateral damage in this race to the bottom. Just don’t start a dropshipping company.
